This exhibition of the art of Morris Louis at the Rooseum is the first in a series of shows collectively entitled Rooseum Re-Vision, Re-vision: "seeing again", but also reexamination and reevaluation of, for example, an important body of work.

What might strike us today when seeing Louis's paintings again is how they do not conform to the modernist model of Clement Greenberg, and how much richer theu actually are. But also, and perhaps more surprisingly, how closely related they are to the, at the time, sworn enemy of Greenbergian formalism - Pop...
