WELCOME TO THE NEW ROOSEUM
We believe that the work of artists today is undergoing great change as it shifts to the broad field of visual culture.
As a site for art to happen, we are trying to respond to that challenge by developing sympathetic ways of acting and thinking. We aim to be a test site for experimental relationships between art, artists and the many individuals that make our audience. Artists hopefully feel at home here, but also people who strain to become interested in contemporary culture can use the Rooseum as their first port of call.
Our intentions include the desire to be a place where great art is produced, seen and discussed, where links between people and ideas can be forged and where proposals about the identity and future of Malmö and the Öresund region can find a home.
