An important element of the activities of Rooseum is to take part in the production of art. In order to achieve this Rooseum runs a residency programme, with regional and international artists coming for periods of two to six months to work. The visiting artists are provided with a studio located on the first floor of the building. It is up to the artist how s/he wants to use the space: as an office, for display or for other activities. Importantly the studios offer a unique opportunity for our visitors to be able to meet and talk to artists and have a personal encounter with the process behind their practice. This gives the artist the possibility to use the space differently compared to a traditional studio.
