Lectures and presentations in April and May
In connection with Normalization, a series of lectures and presentations will be organized to broaden the discussion about the term normalization and its many implications:

22 April 12 - 3 pm
Schleuser.net and Gregor Noll
Produktionsenheten presents the artist group Schleuser.net and Gregor Noll, associate professor of international law at the Faculty of Law, Lund University. The lectures will focus on migration politics and strategies related to undocumented travelling and asylum laws.

29 April at 3 pm
The unlogical heterosexuality, part 2: A conversation with Sandra Dahlén. Lisa Nyberg, one of the participating artists in Normalization at Rooseum, has invited Sandra Dahlén, freelance sexual advisor and author of the book Hetero, to a conversation about the history of heterosexuality, its current status and possible future.

Ana Devic, one of the curators in the curator group What, How & for Whom (WHW), Zagreb
Ana Devic will discuss the notion of normalization, taking her point of departure in questions like: Does normalization today in the context of ‘transitional countries’ serve to legitimize liberal capitalism and political system of parliamentary democracy as the only natural and acceptable solution, the optimal norm of political consciousness? To what extent and in what way does the idea of normalization overlap with the notions of transition, globalization and Europeanization? What are the meanings of the ideas implicit in ‘normalization’ as a social and political term? How is this normalcy being determined?

WHW was formed in 1999 in Zagreb andits members are curators Ivet Curlin, Ana Devic, Natasa Ilic and Sabina Sabolovic, and designer and publicist Dejan Krsic.
